General Entry Procedures

Reporting Issues
Guest Access
To authorize guest or vendor entry, call the Entry Station at (210) 698-3588 and provide:
Your name and address. The guest’s or vendor’s name (and company name, if applicable).
For events expecting multiple guests, submit an alphabetical guest list by last name to expedite processing.
If prior notice isn’t given, the Entry Station will contact the resident upon the guest’s arrival. If the resident cannot be reached or the contact information is unavailable, entry will be denied.
Upon arrival, guests must provide their name and the resident’s name and address they are visiting. The Entry Station will log the entry time and the vehicle’s license plate number.
Updating Resident Contact Information
The Entry Station uses a searchable SOPOA resident directory. To facilitate smoother entry for authorized visitors and service providers, update your contact information using the Contact Update Form.
Pedestrian and Cyclist Entry
All pedestrians and cyclists must stop at the Entry Station. Carry a hang tag or a driver’s license displaying a Scenic Oaks address for identification.
Regular Service Providers
Service providers making regular, unscheduled visits or using different drivers should be authorized in writing by the homeowner. Add these providers using the Contact Update Form to assist Entry Station staff.
Security Services
Homeowners with security monitoring systems should provide their security company with the Entry Station’s phone number: (210) 698-3588. In the event of an alarm, it’s recommended that the security company contacts the Entry Officer after notifying the Sheriff’s Department.
Solicitation Policy
Soliciting within Scenic Oaks is strictly prohibited. Residents must not allow friends or vendors to solicit within the community. Exceptions are made for residents selling items such as Girl Scout cookies or similar fundraisers.
Realtor and Mortgagee Access
Licensed real estate agents with a valid Real Estate Salesperson Identification Card and driver’s license are permitted entry during daylight hours.
Individuals interested in purchasing property must be accompanied by a licensed realtor or have prior authorization from a property owner.
Mortgage representatives conducting inspections must present:
Credentials verifying their representation of the mortgagee. A copy of the Deed of Trust indicating inspection rights.
Public Service Access
The following public service entities are granted entry upon request:
- On-duty law enforcement, firefighters, and EMS personnel.
- U.S. Mail carriers, UPS, newspaper deliverers, school buses, and garbage collection services.
Civil process servers will be allowed entry during daylight hours if they:
- Present a valid state-issued ID.
- Confirm they are on duty and have legal documents to serve.
The Entry Officer will record the process server’s name, ID number, and expiration date.
Owners must not authorize non-owners to enter Scenic Oaks for purposes other than visiting the owner’s property, except during approved open houses or the annual garage sale. Violators may be subject to trespassing charges.
