Oak Wilt remains a significant threat to the health and vitality of oak trees in Scenic Oaks. According to the updated 2025 Oak Wilt map, seven areas have shown increased progression of this disease, with three regions experiencing serious worsening. Oak Wilt is a fast-spreading and deadly disease for oaks, particularly with the additional rainfall this year. If not addressed promptly, it can destroy not just individual trees, but the natural beauty and property values throughout our neighborhood.
If your property falls within the red line on the new Oak Wilt map, urgent action is necessary.
Left untreated, you risk losing your oak trees and allowing the disease to spread further in our subdivision. Residents within or near this zone (or within 150 feet of it) are especially encouraged to act quickly and reach out for
guidance.
